Lawton, OK

House of Honor was a calling for John and Rebecca Dorsey. House of Honor was previously Reflections of Freedom, located in Lawton, Oklahoma. When John and Rebecca discovered the owners of Refelctions of Freedom were selling the business, the couple felt drawn to provide a service to honor those serving. In December 2021, John and Rebecca became the owners of the House of Honor to begin encapsulating moments in time to honor heroes, memories and beyond.

John enlisted in the United States Army in 1983. John had just graduated from Woodville High School and was stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton for basic training. After basic training, he was assigned as a Forward Observer in the prestigious 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During his miltary career, he served 26 years in a myriad of leadership positions culminating in his assignment as a Command Sergeant Major and he retired in Fort Sill in 2008. His assignments and deployments included Panama, Honduras, Uzbekistan, Republic of Korea and Iraq. Upon retirement, John served 13 years on the Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill Commanding General's personal staff as the Strategic Planner and Congressional Actions Specialist.

For 30 years, Rebecca served as an in-home caregiver to veterans and beyond. Her heart for service and appreciation for those who dedicated their lives to serving others lead her to devote her own life to aiding others. That same mindset is at the heart of House of Honor.

Throughout his military career, John received numerous patriotic remembrances and uses these items to tell his life's story. Their lives of service and heart for honoring others who serve lead them to opening a business that will help others tell their own life stories. House of Honor is dedicated to recognizing honorable service and those who provide it on a daily basis.
